Pepperwood Bistro’s 16th Annual Beerfest – This Sunday!

John Romano, owner of Nickel Brook Brewery in Burlington, will be at Pepperwood Bistro’s Beerfest event on Sunday.

Pepperwood Bistro in downtown Burlington will once again play host to one of the most anticipated events on every beer lovers’ calendar. The 16th annual Beerfest event will take place this Sunday, February 24th from 2 – 5 pm at 1455 Lakeshore Road.  The annual celebration draws over 150 people every year, and this year’s event is no exception. Michael Hassard, Pepperwood Bistro’s General Manager says they’ve already sold 150 tickets, with about 50 up for grabs. Tickets are $39.95 per person which includes beer sampling, finger foods and an event t-shirt. Net proceeds from the event are donated to Canadian Cystic Fibrosis.

This year, 16 breweries including several craft brewers from around Southern Ontario, will be serving up samples of diverse types of beers to suit all tastes. “It’s a great opportunity to try new and unique beers that might not even be on your radar,” says Hassard.

Participating breweries include Burlington’s own Nickel Brook Brewery, Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co., Thornbury Cidar, Chesire Valley Brewing Co., F & M Brewery (Stone Hammer), Great Lakes Brewing Company, Mill Street Brewery, Premier Brands Ltd., The Premium Beer Company, Sleeman Breweries, Spearhead Brewery, Steam Whistle Brewing, Lake of Bays Brewing Company, McClelland Beers and The Kensington Brewing Company.
